The student will become familiar with the animation process in Adobe Character Animator CC. They will learn how to Import assets, sync Adobe Illustrator and Rig the character for animation. Additionally, the student will use the Triggers and Lip Sync functions to sync their puppets movements and voice recordings to the animation.

Using the Southpark Character the student created in Adobe Illustrator, the student will work through the tutorials posted above to learn the Adobe Character Animator software. When finished, the student will then work as a part of a group of 2 or 3, and create a 1 minute cartoon. This includes story boarding, and script writing.
The following must be visible in the cartoon:
- Import two or more characters into the same scene
- Import assets like a background.
- Show that character is properly constructed (no floating parts)
- Model use of three non-speaking mouth
- Model use of 11 speaking mouths (vizemes)
- Model use of the dragger tool
- Model use of the trigger feature
- 1 minute in length minimum. It can be longer.

Sync a voice recording
The students will demonstrate their mastery of standard graphic design tools in Adobe Illustrator by creating a original work with 70% accuracy. The students will also demonstrate their ability to group and organize their work to maintain a clean and efficient work space.
In order to accomplish the objective, the student will use a source image to create a Southpark character in their own likeness using the tools they learned in the previous Hippo and Ninja assignments. The students will create layers and groups compatible with Character Animator CC so that their new avatar can be animated in a future date.

Use the Pluralsight videos to master the proper steps in modeling a basic low-poly building. This will be an exercise in developing and adding onto the skills that you attained in the last tutorial. We will also begin discussing modeling in this tutorial.

The student will learn the basics of 3D modeling using common tools like extrude, loop cut and slide. In addition the student will become knowledgeable about polygon geometry, create modeling hierarchies, smoothing and subdivision workflow.
The student will use a project-based approach to create a 3D robot using the Blender software application. This project will cover the basics of modeling, look at commonly used tools, and talk about some time-saving tips and techniques in Blender. We’ll begin by looking at polygon geometry and learn about its different components. You’ll learn how to organize your model into hierarchies and keep your scene clean and efficient. We’ll also take a look at multiple modeling tools, including Extrude and the Loop Cut and Slide for adding resolution, Inset, and Bevel. We’ll take a look at using a smoothing or subdivision workflow and use modifiers to help shape our models and work symmetrically.

Apply knowledge of tools and techniques in Maya to create a 3D model of a character using reference images.
We will work through the process of creating a character model of a simple penguin in class. We will learn to import images to use for reference in our project. We will use numerous tools in Maya to create our model.
When finished with your penguin, use the snipping tool to capture multiple images from different angles with your edges visible on the mesh. I want to see your edge flow. Post the images to your blog.
